I'd like to teach the World to Swim

The Wessex Swim School's music video to encourage the World to Swim! A big task but if anyone can do it Wessex Swim School can! Featuring the fantastic voices of The University of Winchester - Sounds of the New Gospel Choir, staff of Wessex Swim School, a dolphin an Ex-international diver and the beautiful pool at St Swithuns.

Olympic visit - 28th April 2009

GB's Karen Pickering one of the most decorated female swimmers of all time came to launch her Baby Swim Foundation with Wessex Swim School on Tues 28th April.
Karen Pickering was an outstanding member of the British swimming squad from 1986 to 2005 and has a collection of winning medals that include 8 World Championship medals (4 gold), 14 European Championship medals, 38 National Championship titles, and a Commonwealth Games medal haul of 13 including 4 Gold.

Karen has now founded the Baby Swim Foundation and along with Wessex Swim School is launching this fantastic resource in the South!

The Baby Swim Foundation is a FREE network accessible to everyone wanting information about baby swimming. If you have a baby between 6 months and 3 years and would like to join our Baby Swim Foundation classes then please go to the Pre-School page.

Swimming in the rain in Basingstoke. - April 2009

Easter 2009 saw the opening of the Wessex Swim School in Southampton and Basingstoke. To celebrate our launch of our new pool at Cranbourne College in Basingstoke Chris and some of the team posed in swimming kit as the heavens opened!
Keen to bring the Wessex Swim School philosophy of high quality affordable tuition to Basingstoke, Chris said that Cranbourne College was a perfect venue, a large 20m pool with a deep end offers swimmers of all ages and abilities the perfect learning environment.

 Wessex Swim School and Hendy expand in Southampton -April 2009.

This March saw the expansion of Wessex Swim School into Southampton at the same time as our sponsors Hendy Group opened Hendy Honda on West Quay Road. This was one of three Alan Day Honda sites that Hendy Group took over in April.
To mark the expansion for both Wessex Swim School and Hendy in Southampton, Chris set up a 'Free trial offer' for all Hendy staff to encourage them and their families to get swimming.
